What's the difference between oils and serums?

Serums are water-based products that have a smaller molecule size so they can penetrate deeply into the skin. Serums hydrate and provide some of the most potent botanicals that work on deeper layers of the skin. Face oils tend to have a larger molecule size than serums and work on the upper layers of skin. Oils are extremely moisturizing and work to reinforce the skin barrier. We recommend using a serum and an oil daily. Serums should be applied first, allowed to completely absorb, and then an oil should be applied next.

HOW TO USE
Morning:

Squeeze dropper of the Protect Antioxidant Day Serum slowly as to not gather air and use large pea-size amount on clean, dry face and neck area. After allowing the serum to absorb for 2-3 minutes, apply 4-7 drops of the Prevent Anti-Aging Face Oil. Allow oil to absorb for 3-5 minutes before applying further products.

Night:

Begin using the Renew Resurfacing Night Serum twice per week and build up to nightly use. Use on clean, slightly damp face and neck while avoiding eye area. For optimal results, after allowing a pea-sized amount of the Renew Resurfacing Night Serum to absorb for 2-3 minutes, apply 4-7 drops of the Rejuvenate Restorative Face Oil. Allow oil to absorb for 3-5 minutes before applying further products.

Advice When Using Any AHA Exfoliant: This product contains alpha hydroxy and glycolic acids, which may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun. We recommend using any products with exfoliating acids at night. Use SPF during the day when using this product and for one week after. Please do not layer Retinol, Tretinoin, or Vitamin C with Renew Resurfacing Night Serum, as the combination may be irritating.

Illuminate BC+ Brightening Serum: Use on nights when the Renew Resurfacing Night Serum is not being used. Apply to clean face and neck area (avoid eye area) and allow to absorb for 2-3 minutes. Follow with Rejuvenate Restorative Face Oil.

Detox Balancing Face Oil: After particularly harsh days, e.g. lots of pollution or sweating, swap Rejuvenate Restorative Face Oil with Detox Balancing Face Oil.

[Argan Oil], or “liquid gold,” is highly concentrated with antioxidants and natural vitamins, and known to target the appearance of signs of aging.

[Hyaluronic Acid] is known to deeply hydrate, plump, and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

[Rosehip Oil] contains high levels of omega essential fatty acids, and is praised for promoting healthy-looking skin and nourishing damaged tissue.

[Green Tea] contains the antioxidant polyphenol and catechins, and has been shown to reduce the appearance of damaged skin.
