Our Renew Resurfacing Night Serum is water-based and noncomedogenic, meaning that it's designed to not clog pores. In an Independent Clinical Study, 7 out of 10 Renew users agreed their pores looked more clear and were visibly reduced (although, of course, results may vary). Renew is also formulated with multiweight Hyaluronic Acid and other actives known to boost hydration and support exfoliation, which means it is designed to be a standalone nighttime serum. We recommend initially applying Renew twice per week to start and then building up usage from there, since AHAs may be sensitizing. With any new skincare, we recommend a patch test to ensure compatibility.

When using the full-size 30mL bottle of Renew, start with a half-dropper (pea-size) amount of product per application. See if that provides enough coverage for you, and add a half-dropper amount at a time from there. With the Deluxe Mini 10mL bottle size, use one full-dropper amount per application.

When using our skincare, a little goes a long way. With regular use, the full-size (30 mL) bottle of Renew typically lasts around 3 months, while the Deluxe Mini (10 mL) lasts around 2–4 weeks.

We do not recommend applying Renew and retinol products simultaneously, which may cause irritation. Instead, we recommend applying Renew one night and retinols the next. Renew should not be applied at the same time as Illuminate BC+ Brightening Serum, as the Alpha Hydroxy Acids in Renew paired with the Vitamin C in Illuminate may cause irritation. Instead, we suggest applying Renew and Illuminate on alternate evenings, or using Illuminate in the morning and Renew in the evenings. We also recommend performing a patch test to confirm compatibility.

Illuminate BC+ Brightening Serum focuses on enhancing skin’s natural radiance with Bakuchiol and Vitamin C, without exfoliating. While Protect and Illuminate can be used day or night, we recommend using Renew only at night, as it contains Alpha Hydroxy Acids and Glycolic Acid that can make your skin more sensitive to the sun.
