We formulate our products without synthetic chemicals, fragrances, parabens, phthalates, or over 2,000 other harmful chemicals.
We Treasure the Environment
Our natural ingredients depend on a healthy planet. Our packaging experts identify the low impact materials with an emphasis on sustainability. We utilize bottles made with recycled glass, never plastic, and our uncoated, recyclable boxes are made with post-consumer materials. Our suppliers utilize solar and wind energy to minimize our environmental impact. And for every bottle sold we partner with nonprofits to plant a tree.
We Value Science
Our scientists and researchers identify the most effective botanicals that produce tangible results. We spend months, and sometimes even years, testing formulas on ourselves and other wonderful humans to ensure they meet the highest standards of efficacy and quality. We only release products that we have already added to our own skincare routines. We are Leaping Bunny Certified™, meaning that we never test on animals and neither do any of our suppliers.
A Brother-Sister Company
After working in the beauty industry, Greg was disturbed by the chemicals and synthetics big brands used in their products. In 2016, he began making face oils in his tiny New York kitchen, testing over 100 formulas. Friends and family volunteered to test the initial batches.
When Greg’s sister Margi was struggling to become pregnant due to a hormonal disorder, she learned that synthetics and plastics were the most likely cause. This experience underscored the importance of healthy, all-natural, effective skincare routines–and Naked & Thriving was the only skincare she trusted enough to use.
For the first eleven months after launching, Greg filled, labeled, and shipped every bottle himself. When the company grew and left the kitchen, Greg’s sister Margi—an accomplished artist—joined the small team as a partner and creative director. Every element of Margi’s design, from the hand-lettered logo to the verdant illustrations on the bottle, embodies our mission of bringing you the purest botanical skincare without synthetics, plastics, or other harsh chemicals.
Margi gave birth to a healthy baby boy in the summer of 2021. With a personal, family commitment to safe, all-natural skincare—and ever-increasing goals for sustainability and making the world a better place—Margi and Greg are a brother-sister team working hard to bring effective natural skincare to everyone.
